A ute has exploded into flames on a residential street in Melbourne after an oxygen tank caught alight. It is believed an oxygen tank in the rear of a ute exploded and the vehicle caught fire in Hoppers Crossing. It is believed that two cylinders of oxygen and acetylene were in the back of the ute. FRV Hoppers Crossing brigade stated that 'It is a timely reminder to ensure dangerous goods are secured and care taken whilst they are being transported,' the brigade said in a statement.
